Forklift Pricing Models
Compare forklift pricing models by the equipment and commitment each purchases. A cash price, rental rate and lease payment need different cost checks.
Forklift Purchase, Rental and Lease Prices
| Forklift price option | How the price works | What to compare |
|---|---|---|
| New forklift purchase | Equipment price plus specified options | Capacity, mast, power, tires and delivered configuration |
| Used forklift purchase | Price for an identified truck and condition | Hours, inspection, battery, repairs and written warranty scope |
| Forklift rental | Quoted period with agreed usage and terms | Included hours, delivery, collection and extra charges |
| Forklift lease | Payments under a defined contract | Term, maintenance, usage limits and end-of-term costs |
Compare the Same Cost Period
Choose a period relevant to your business and show the assumptions. A purchase comparison can include your own estimates for maintenance, energy and later resale, but those estimates should remain separate from confirmed supplier charges.
A rental extension or a lease ending uses the actual agreement. Ask for the relevant calculation rather than applying a generic multiplier.
Use Matched Forklift Proposals
Keep the required truck configuration consistent. If a supplier suggests a different approach, request a separately priced alternative with its reason.
Compare new forklift prices, forklift rental prices and forklift lease prices using their actual terms.
